Part 2 on Saturday, June 15th 1:30-2:30pm The Sweet Rewards of Bees learning about honey and beeswax, specifically what species of bees make honey, how bees use honey, what is the difference between royal jelly and honey, and the medicinal value of honey. If you know of a place where we can buy samples of honey in a variety of flavors, we could have a tasting experience while molding the beeswax that you bring with you.

Part 3 on Saturday, July 13th 1:30-2:30pm Sowing Seeds of Sustainability learning about how to create a garden that is friendly to bees. For the activity, we can use the small clay pots and paper pieces with seeds embedded in them that I have to plant small pots of flowers for the kids to take home (or even better, to leave here to plant in the Furness landscaping once they‘ve sprouted).
